  • The worst custom suit experience ever. Partner went in as part of a groom's group to get a suit. Spent $600, had to pay upfront. Suit came back completely unwearable and incorrectly sized, even after taking detailed custom measurements. They had to re-make the suit completely, and something still seems 'off' with it after the second one came in. Dropped by early in the morning soon after they opened to have them take a look without an appointment, less than two weeks before the wedding. The first thing out of their mouths wasn't "Sorry to hear this...let us take a quick look"....it was "We only work on an appointment basis but I do have an opening (one week from now) at 4pm where we can take a look." There was maybe one person in there shopping. The rest of the staff were literally just sitting around. After explaining this to them, and much pleading, they finally took my partner up to do a suit assessment. They told us everything looked great and it was basically in our heads, and we could steam the problem away. No. The problem is you guys can't measure properly, and your manufacturing quality is terrible. My nonna/tia could do better tailoring than this. A bespoke suit should fit like a glove - it is an art, a craft. You can fool some people with your slick showroom and trendy web ads, but those of us who have experience in fashion and sewing will know right away the product is sub-par. At least if that is the case, make your customer service stronger. The moral of the story is this: Things shouldn't have to be "steamed-out" of a suit. While they did let us know that if after the wedding, if we still weren't happy, they would remake the jacket for us, why bother? Better off going to a place like Tom's where they have actual tailors on-site who have done men's garment tailoring their whole lives.
