  • The space is sacred. This church has a huge legacy of community outreach. Amazingly, this church started a hospital that later became Carolinas Healthcare System. It also started the uptown soup kitchen, Thompson's Children Home, and so many other things. The church has a very welcoming congregation. You will find lawyers and politicians and doctors and artists and homeless people and everything in between. If Jesus came back tomorrow; I am pretty sure he would choose this altar rail, based on the diversity in this church. Lots to rave about here. Check it out!
