| - I feel like I'm coming to their rescue! But Debbie the floor supervisor saved me today!! I've been with Cox over 10 years, and I'll admit, I've been tempted to switch to Dish for a while now because of the cost! I did have an issue today, I was promised free movie channels for 30 days for a trail run and was told to cancel within 30 days or else I would get charged for the next month. I was so happy, so cool of the customer service rep to do that for a loyal customer, and completely understood why I would be charged for the next month if I didn't cancel, right????
So I called today (at 28 days) to cancel and was told by the rep that I was already in the next billing cycle and she was going to charge me with "what I had used" which was about 10 days worth! This did upset me because I explained again the situation and how it was explained to me...call in 30 days to cancel, EASY, DONE! Before I could even get the sentence out asking, "is there anything you can do? I feel like I was tricked" she had cut me off saying No, NO, you have to pay for what you used!! Believe me, what I REALLY wanted to say to her was so aggressive, I won't even type it, but I always treat people how I want to be treated. I asked to speak to a supervisor, (which I never do, I'm not "THAT" person, that's when Debbie got on the phone and honestly kept me as a customer...I was done with them!! She understood it when I explained it to her, it wasn't MY fault and I'm glad Debbie saw that! She made the problem go away for me, no questions asked, AND even said SHE would call me tomorrow to see if I wanted to continue the movie channels or not! SCORE, because we know as customers, if you need to call, your on hold easy 20 minutes! Debbie is awesome, most people there are!!
Only advise I can give, is don't be a jerk when you call (and I know that's hard to do sometimes!!!!) I work in customer service, and if someone comes at me that way, in my head i'm already done with you. If your nice, I'll bend over backward for you....and they always have for me!!! Honestly the first person I talked to today before Debbie was horrible, but going on 10 years, that's not a bad track record! :)
Thank you Debbie!!
