I've been going to Vegas fairly regularly for over a decade and have never heard about the Oyster Bar until recently. I was intrigued by the sheer number and quality of the reviews of this place so I figured I had to try it. I wish I had done my research ahead of time because I was definitely NOT expecting to wait for almost 2 hours on a Sunday at 2pm. I had no idea that the Oyster Bar is actually just that.. a BAR with maybe 18 seats total. Don't be fooled by how short the line may look, it takes forever to move!
When I finally sat down at the bar, I was so hungry I wanted to order one of everything on the menu. My dining partner and I settled on 3 oyster shooters with vodka, a bowl of clam chowder, the famous pan roast, and gumbo. Everything was delicious but my favorite dish by far was the pan roast. SO DELISH! I might be persuaded to return to the Oyster Bar on another visit to Vegas but you can believe I will do my research to ensure I wait no longer than 30 minutes to 1 hour maximum. Anything more than that is just a waste of time, in my opinion.
