| - As several reviewers have said, this is a very shady company. These guys earn their stereotype of "used car salesman". Disgusting. They advertise a decent price, and then when it comes time to pay, they hit you with all the dishonest extras and try to spin it like its all part of the deal you agreed to...paint protector, window tinting, etc. I refused and walked out. They finally accepted my offer a week later which did not include any extras, and was a decent price. We wanted to pay cash, but they gave us an additional $1000 off the price to finance - we could pay it off after 4 payments so why not? That's when the nightmare began. We sat with the finance guy for 2 hours while he fumbled thru printing and reprinting all the documents (because they didn't line up in his ancient printer), then found out that they had not decided on a finance company. We would be contacted in a couple weeks we were told. A month later I asked what was going on, and they said a company had been chosen and we would hear from them shortly. Another month went by and still nothing. Some lady called asking me to answer verification questions, but wouldn't tell me what it was in regards to. I'm not stupid enough to give any information out like that over the phone. I finally called Scottsdale Fiat's finance department directly and they told me that TD Auto Finance was our loan company. I called TD Auto Finance and they informed me that I was 2 payments behind!!!!. No one...I repeat NO ONE EVER CONTACTED ME about this loan. No email, no phone call, no letter. I expected a reputable company to send information about the loan in the mail...like EVERY other company I've ever dealt with. And worst of all, they reported it to the credit bureaus! My 800+ credit rating that I've worked hard to maintain my entire life dropped to 600 in one whack!!! I am beyond furious. TD Auto Finance is a scam. And once that car was off the lot, Scottsdale Fiat stopped responding to my messages. Horrible, horrible horrible companies. Run fast, run far if you ever come in contact with them. Ian Smith, sales manager at Scottsdale Fiat - you're a shyster.
