When you live in the grey area of the borders of Squirrel Hill & Greenfield, you have a choice to make when it comes to grocery stores.
Choose wisely, my friends.
Choose to drive to the suburbs.
But say you don't have twenty minutes to hop on the Parkway and head to McKnight Road. Say you're just doing a quick stop dahn the Iggle to pick up supplies for dippy eggs and chipped ham BBQ and you gotta go during halftime of the Stillers game. In that case, my friends, choose the Greenfield Giant Eagle.
Really nice staff, small-but-fresh produce section, and aisles wide enough to fit your cart. Those facts alone place this store leaps and bounds from the Squirrel Hill GE location. It's even still on the (same) bus line, if you need!
They don't have everything that the suburban GE locations do, but they've got the basics. And I can speak from experience that no one will judge you if you make picking up bread here a regular part of your run route. It's all good.
