| - Delicious coffee in the Yonge and Eglinton area, finally! (Aroma, you were not cutting it.) The size of this location is definitely an improvement on the downtown one, great to see space for a larger food display case, seating & counter space for sugar/cream etc too.
The look they've gone for is a nice bright & clean one, very sharp decor and classy furnishings. The gleaming bright espresso machine is definitely a feature of the coffee prep space too! Large glass cylinders of coffee beans adorn one wall, and there are some lovely shelving and display areas that are glassy and bright, really highlighting the look of this new cafe. There's a small patio-ish area out front, but no seats (yet?).
I'm personally happy to see that they've chosen to use paper cups up here, because as much as I love Bulldog's coffee I'm not a fan of the styrofoam cups they use elsewhere.
The product is the same gorgeous coffee, obviously - and owner Stuart is on hand up here to make sure everything's going smoothly with new staff. Summertime means a great menu of iced drinks in addition to the regular hot options of cappuccinos, lattes, espresso, hot chocolate and their signature 'Bulldog'. Prices are a little more ($1-1.50ish) than other chains in the area and it's damn well worth it. There's also loads of freshly baked treats on offer if you're into indulging.
In short - gorgeous cafe, gorgeous coffee, and I hope this location of Bulldog thrives!
