  • Lots of bad reviews here.... Doesnt correlate with my experience at all. My sister bought me the firehose shirt jac for Xmas. I liked the ruggedness and feel of the material so much, I decided to get 5 pairs of the firehose pants. Also bought 6 longtail T's and 2 souped up hoodies. I received my package within 5 days of ordering. Id say that pretty quick for this time of year. Also, the day after I ordered, they came out with the 20% off and free ship. I called customer service to see if I could get the 20% refunded back to my card. She said "shouldnt be a problem" and I had the money back in my account by the next morning. Thats top notch customer service in my book. I find the quality and prices to be on par with the other "work clothes" companies. Dickies, Carhart, Cabelas, BPS, etc. Although, the sizing is waaayyyy huge. Luckily, I saw that fact when reading thru reviews on their website. I ordered all the clothes a size smaller than I normally would and they are still a little big. I can also shrink them slightly in the wash. Overall, Im not "blown away" by their products as some reviewers claim, but I think they make good, quality clothes that should stand up to a few years of service at least. UPDATE... I ended up returning the pants and hoodies I got. They were just way too big. Reordered the pants in a smaller size. Did not bother with the hoodies....not impressed with them. They are definitely heavy duty hoodies, just not my thing. Got my new (smaller) firehose pants 3 days after I reordered. Superfast! Received my refund for the hoodies in less than 2 weeks. Which is also pretty fast for this time of the year. Everytime I called, someone answered within the first couple rings. I was never placed on hold for longer than a few seconds. I never had to speak to an automated robot (which I absolutely hate) or "press 1 for english". A real person was always on the other end and they were always pleasant and helpful. I would rate their customer service at a "perfect 10" if that was possible. Now...the reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5? This might not be a big deal to alot of people out there, but it bothers me. Duluth advertising paints the picture of being "All American". They depict people working on farms and doing rugged outdoorsy American things. Its hard for me to describe exactly, but if one were to take a look at any of their catalogs, one would believe that they were getting clothes made right in the heartland of the USA. It seems like they really push this type of image to sell their products. So when I received my clothes and saw that they were made in China, I was very disappointed to say the least. I have no problem with some products manufactured oversees. I try to buy American, but not everything I purchase has to be "made in the USA"....so thats not really the issue. But if a company is going to go all out with its image as being "All American", then their products and workers should definitely also be "All American" All in all, the clothes are well thought out, reasonably tough clothes that should last for quite awhile. The sizing is huge though. Plan on ordering 1 or even 2 sizes smaller than you normally would. The customer service is outstanding....top notch...doesnt really get any better. The advertising and image of the company is BS. 4 stars....
