Vdara is a mixed bag for me.
I will freely admit that I am not City Center's demographic: I'm a Gen X introvert. So I acknowledge that I am biased, and that Vdara is not a good fit for me as a middle aged introvert. I will also admit that I judge all Vegas hotels against the Delano as my personal gold standard.
That said: service has been impeccable here. The pool is great and easily accessible, as is the spa (which I will review separately). Starbucks is in the lobby. We had a suite with a magnificent view of the mountains, Bellagio fountains, and the High Roller. They provide a kitchen of sorts, and you can request kitchenware for simple cooking, but ... if you're in Vegas and staying at Vdara, why cook? Just go out.
I really don't have any complaints, my stay has been wonderful. I just don't think I'm the right target market for this hotel.
