| - I really want to like this place, but unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations. Facility is bright, clean and spacious. Staffs were friendly and welcoming, and didn't try to push for sales or any add ons to the package I already purchased. I did see all the one star reviews on Yelp, but there were also positive feedbacks on google and wayspa.
The biggest flaw for this spa is the new customer form they use. These forms are designed so the aesthetician can understand your skin better and can customize the treatment dependent on your skin type. Yet, their forms were incredibly basic, and lacking all the important questions that needs to be asked. It only asks to fill out your name, address, birthdate and if you have dry, normal or oily skin. What about the people with delicate and highly sensitive skin?? Sensitive skin is very irritable and can easily be damaged.
As soon as I arrived, my aesthetician couldn't wait to dive into work. She didn't bother introducing herself, examine my skin, asked about my skincare routine and whether I have any allergies or not. As a result of all this, my face developed hives. It's bright red, bumpy, burning and itchy all at the same time. It's very uncomfortable, and I would need a lot of BB cream to cover up all the redness. My friend was joking that I looked like a burned victim. Ha ha... not..In the meantime, i have to take benedryl allergy pills to soothe the itchy and burning sensation. It's going to take at least a week for my skin to heal. I only recommend people with normal or combination skin to come here for facials. Massage wasn't good here, so this can be skipped.
