My wife and I had passed by Joyful House dozens of times and kept saying "we really need to try there". Finally, on a date night of "Let's try someplace new", I decided to finally stop in. The decor is subtle, the atmosphere light and the menu fairly extensive. The hot tea is not standard fare or overpowering and I recommend the iced honey lemonade. The wontons were simple and the bbq pork appetizers tasty. They bring the orders out "family style" so it's easier to share. My wife chose the mushroom shrimp in lobster sauce while I chose the very colorful and quite delicious sweet and sour pork topped off with a side of perfectly prepared white rice. Overall, it makes for a great traditional Chinese date night experience. You do need to ask for chopsticks if you prefer them. Recommended.
