Another couple and us went to C&W's for the 1st time last night--a Sun night--and right off the bat we had the hostess move us to another area because the music was so flippin' loud we couldn't talk to each other--and there were maybe 5-6 other tables occupied. WHY do you keep the music so loud? Clearly from all the other reviews, it's a negative with your customers. Maybe on Fri & Sat nights when it's a young crowd, but on a Sun night?? Come on...listen to your customers...Our service was pretty good--she brought out everyone's food, but one--for which he had to wait maybe another 10 mins or so? She gave him a cup of the lobster bisque gratis, which was nice. And the food was excellent--but pricey. But the kicker for us was the $1 extra for 'rocks' with our drinks. We asked about it and the server got the bar manager (who, by the way, needs to take classes in customer service). Two of us ordered whiskey 'on the rocks' ($6) and he claimed ordering on the rocks gives us a "larger pour." How do we know it was larger? The glass was a normal size (he said they were oversized glasses--they weren't). And did we even ask for a "larger pour?" He said we were arguing "semantics" and it was a "verbiage problem" for us. Interesting attitide...He said "all" good restaurants charge a 'rocks' fee. Whatever... none that I've been to--and we go out to dinner a lot...it's not the $$, the "verbiage" or "semantics"; it's the appearance of gouging your customers. A good manager would have taken off the charge and assured us he'd talk to the owners or restaurant manager about our issue--in particular since getting all our meals was a problem. We also ordered a meal 'to go' for someone who couldn't join us--for which they charged an extra 50 cents. Really? After all that, C&W's is a one-stopper for us...
