  • Phipps is one of my favorite places to visit in the city! I come several times a year to see their new exhibits but also to revisit the permanent areas. My consistent favorites are the orchid room, desert room, and the outdoor children's area. Seasonally, they always have something cool going on - I always come for the Winter show, where they have beautiful decorative lights and flowers and stay open late for guests to get the full experience. Lines can be long for how popular that time of year is; I think the longest we've ever waited was 30 minutes, but well worth it! Currently, they have a great Super Natural Glass event going on, with beautiful giant blown glass sculptures of flowers. Late hours (until 11pm), and seeing them at night really highlights their sparkle and shine. They also have a cafe that serves items that (often) are grown from their gardens, which is really cool and always tasty! Their gift shop is also a nice stop for lots of unique souvenirs and gifts. Highly recommended for families, friends, dates, or just a solo stroll :)
