Haha The Belmont, huge family with probly the most amazing events in Montreal for many years, the best underground beat makers and the most famous shared the scene on this amazing fusion club with the best crowd... amazing staff... Barmaids are super friendly and the place is great.
On the down side... The security is not totally profetional, some do a very good job I am not saying the security is bad but there is lacks in it. I tested it myself to see how bad and easy it was for minors to get it, Found a 16 yo girl who was wandering in front and have her get in with me and see if they IDed her... Nope she got in just fine and took a beer with me laughting about it...
Also one day a Security agent came to tell me I smelled bad or something... O_o
Was a VERY weird experience for me because people who dance usualy sweat and yeah sweat stinks we are not here to smell roses... but even knowing that... I had just started dancing like 15 min ago I was not in sweat yet... I was freshly out of the shower, shaved and pampered... like wtf...
Either the dude did not like my after shave smell... or maybe he just forgot to brush his teeth before going to work. Anyways I dont think its the job of a security guard to go to people who has a perfume he dont like and tell them... It is completly unprofetional, disgraceful but maybe he was trying to try to get me violent to kick me out of the club, this kind of insulting probly usualy works with the typical douchebags. Because yes the popularity of the Belmont sadly also brang it its fair amount of douches... enought to make Vilify go away... but yeah did not work on me I just laughted like wtf this is how security treat guestlist people here ?
(BTW I was on the guestlist that night and was pretty known in the place)
