  • Karen and Candy are amazing!!! Thrilled to have found this place. This past weekend was actually my second trip in. The first visit was for strictly a facial. For being a school, it was actually set up much nicer than I had expected. I really liked the first time (and this past time with Karen) that while doing the facial, it was explained to me what they were actually doing, and why, with each step. I'm sure its primarily to embed it in the students brain, the steps, but I liked that I knew what was going on and why, on my face lol. The stations were set up nice, and they had calm music playing with dim lights. The negative the first time around was that other students were in the general area talking relatively loud amongst themselves, which was a distraction and took away from the relaxation part. No biggie though. This past trip, I was SO delighted to get Karen. She is a doll. We clicked instantly, and it was nice to have girl time, even with a complete stranger. We bonded over a concert I went to the night prior, which I was still glowing from, running off 3 hours sleep and a double espresso latte thank you very much. She did a great job, and I seriously didn't want to leave lmao. However, I did have my back to back appointment to have a mani/pedi, which I had not done before at this place. I think with tip for the nails, it still cost me under 30. While its not as fufu as an actually salon goes, it gets the job done. I cannot for the life of me paint or even evenly file my nails. I ruin them every single time so I have stopped trying. I think they skip a step or two that you may get at a salon, but again these are students, and you aren't paying top dollar, so be fair!!! She was very friendly, and was extra gentle around my foot that I just had small surgery on. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a deal. They also take walk ins so that's nice. I may be brave next time and try and cut or color, but that makes me a bit more nervous, them being students, so we will see. The only thing I can really frown upon, is that after leaving multiple messages over the past 2 months, no one has returned my calls. Aka, don't bother leaving a message, just try calling back to catch someone. Overall I do like this place, and will be back!
