  • I had never been to Delmonico's before, but came here with friends who wanted to eat here. Definitely glad I did! First off, they are located between Palazzo and The Venetian, and caught our attention as we passed it daily during our conference at the Sands Expo. We had reservations, and they sat us immediately, zero wait time. From the 'street' view you can see the bar and lounge seating area, while dining is further back. The space is beautiful, mildly reminiscent of a wine cellar with the arches and ceiling. The only possible thing I can complain about is that the bathroom is down a long stretch of hallway, but that was only mildly annoying. The menu offerings were plentiful, definitely offering something for everyone in our small group. I opted for the Filet Mignon, Parmesan Truffle Chips, Creamed Corn Gratinèe, and finished with Banana Cream Pie. As an appetizer, the chips were surprising: a snappy twist on familiar, comfortable potato chips, light and crispy with a bite of Parmesan; described as addictive, and I would have to agree! My steak was cooked to perfection; perfect texture and temperature, being tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. If I recall, they used the Emeril (essence or all-spice) on the outside with a char-broiling, and it added some great flavor. Along with my main entrèe was the creamed corn gratinèe. This was not bad; a creamed corn, warm, comforting, with a layer of crispy breading/bread crumbs on top. While it was sweet, warm, and filling, it did not seem to stand out as anything special or remarkable compared to the other dishes. The Banana Cream Pie was, well, gigantic, but delicious. A great, balanced ratio of banana to cream to crust, with whipped cream and a caramel drizzle. Flavor was smooth, just sweet enough without being overbearing, and had a richness that was filling; a great way to end the meal. Overall service was exquisite. From the moment we entered, we felt welcomed and catered to. Our service team introduced themselves immediately and made sure anything we needed was taken care of. I never saw the bottom of my water glass, which has always been a testament to attentive service in my mind. There was an order mistake where a friend's steak was switched out, but they were quick to notify us and apologize, and gave us the options to either wait to bring out all the food together or serve as the food came out (we opted for the latter). While pricey, this was honestly fairly priced for fine dining on the strip. Overall great dining experience, from atmosphere, to service, to taste! Highly recommend if you're in the area!
