| - Nobody said that this place was fancy by any means. But I stay here because of the location on the strip. This place has so much history.
Unless you are Diamond or higher with Total Rewards, there is a mandatory resort fee of $30 a day, which includes daily Wi-Fi for up to 2 devices and access to the gym. I HAVE to get up to Diamond status soon because the Wi-Fi can be constantly slow, and it makes me repeatedly sign in. Definitely not worth paying for.
The last time I stayed, I was able to get a Go room facing the Strip, in the Habitat towers. Great view of the strip. And there's a TV in the bathroom mirror. Ooh, we fancy, huh?
Self check-in helps alleviate the crowds so that the line at the check-in desk is not too long. However, you have to run around all of the people trying to scam you into a timeshare. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE.
The elevators for the Spa rooms are quick; the Habitat tower elevators ARE ALWAYS SLOW AND ALWAYS MALFUNCTIONING AND ALWAYS BROKEN. Which leads to an elevator stuffed with 20 or so people who stink like booze, smoke, and sweat. Yum.
The best part of the hotel is the "sanctuary" outside. Flamingos, lots of birds and fish, and penguins! It's a beautiful stroll to wander through and sets your mind at ease before a day of heavy drinking and gambling.
Decent place to stay while you are in Vegas. And for those of you complaining about the rooms, just about how much time do you spend in the room anyways? It's Vegas. Get outside and enjoy yourself!
