This gym visited my employer during a health fair. I signed up for more info and was called the next week and offered a 30 day free trial for myself and some friends. I rounded up two friends that wanted to check it out and so I called and was told that my 30 days would start on the following monday. I went in and was given a tour by a really sweet girl. What I didn't expect was the "which plan do you want to buy today?" hard sell that ended the tour. Head's up...THERE IS NO 30 DAY FREE TRIAL. Honestly, I already have a membership at another gym that doesn't have classes but has everything else I use (planet fitness) so I wanted to check out the classes to see if it was worth the extra money. The spin class was great- so I decided to come back the next night with a friend. She was given an even HARDER sale from the GM who basically said- "Instead of the 3 day cancellation period, when you join today, I will extend the no obligation cancellation period to 2 weeks." Wow, thanks. They try to tell you that the price they have TODAY ONLY will not be valid if you try the gym. I would have really considered joining if they had treated me with respect for 2 weeks, were friendly and responsive, because it is a nice facility. But- they are DISHONEST. Do not call me with an offer that is not valid when I walk in the door. (and bring you 2 potential customers). Being shady will never earn you business. Do not be fooled into a "30 day trial". As a side note- the boot camp class the next night was pathetic. I will stay with Planet Fitness.
