  • If I had written this review 6 months ago, it would have been at least 4 stars. However in the past few months Stoneys has done several things to make my time less enjoyable each week, and we have been going weekly. First off, if you are a party till you puke, have fun watching people or have never line danced person, you will probably like Stoneys just fine. However if you are out of your 20's (possibly creeping into or past your 40's) and like to line dance, you may be disappointed. In the last few months Stoneys has: Turned the top dance floor into an area for reserved tables, so no more going up there to practice, learn or do a different dance. This means all the overly drunk, or even just well meaning but clueless people have to come down to the main floor to learn a dance or drunk dance right in front of you Turned the music up to the point that it is impossible to have a conversation unless you are literally screaming into the persons ear. Even if you come right when they open the music is very loud, by 9pm, you can feel every beat in your entire body. Stopped giving away free ice (tap) water. My husband doesn't drink, so he gets tap water (we ALWAYS tip) but now you have to buy bottled water. Half the time we come it is free beer Friday, so why you can get free beer and not water is beyond my understanding. I will say that I find the bartending staff to be the nicest of any club in Vegas, so I feel like most of these issues are management not knowing that if you piss off your older locals (at a line dance club) you may have an issue down the road. I mean really, I get that tourists will come for the novelty, but your average line dancers are older, so take away their seats, water, ability to get fresh air (did I mention no re-entry?) and ability to carry on a conversation, and you are going to have problems having any kind of local support for your business, especially when you are not the only club to dance at. Off the top of my head, Gilleys and Revolver have free lessons, NO COVER, and free water....what a concept!
