  • 3 Stars (but barely) I came here for the Sunday brunch. It's $29 or you can add unlimited champagne, mimosas, or bloody mary's for $8 more. The line took 30 minutes just to get to the cashier. Fortunately, I was with a VIP guest therefore we got to skip the other MASSIVE line to be seated. If we hadn't, it would have been infinitely more painful. It bothers me that all the reviews talk about how the food is served in individual containers to "emphasize quality over quantity". I am calling BS on that. While the presentation was certainly more attractive in these containers, everything looked and tasted dried out. Probably from sitting under the heat laps too long. There is something to be said for keeping hot food together, and not separating them out into tiny portions. Overall- all the meat was rubbery, and dry, even the fish. More specifically: I didn't think you could screw up an omelet- it wasn't worth eating. The Korean short ribs were good. Not AMAZING- but definitely one of the better items. The salads were wilted in their pre-assembled little containers. the pre-peeled cocktail shrimp was definitely not fresh- and it concerns me that they were not sitting on ice to stay cool. The sushi rice was packed so tight you couldn't even see the grains of rice...it was worse than grocery store sushi. And there were only 2 kinds of California roll. The desserts looked beautiful, like mini pieces of edible art- but they tasted like pure sugar. No flavor at all. The gnocchi was SICK...in a bad way. Like soggy potato balls. The ONLY reason why the Wicked Spoon is getting 3 stars is because our waiter was great. He kept the libations flowing. At one point I think we had 6 mimosas for the 2 of us on the table! We definitely drank our $37 worth today. Also, it was quite pretty there too. If you LOVE buffets, and you like quantity over quality. And how food is presented is more important than how it tastes, OR you want an affordable place to drown yourself in bottomless beverages of the same flavor- you should check this place out. Otherwise, I can think of better ways to spend $80.
