I like to consider Hubs and I "world travelers" now that we've taken a whopping 4 international trips in one year. Busy, but fun! I always try to choose flight through American Airlines. They have the best customer service that will do whatever they can to ensure you make your flight, or get put on another, better flight. For example, Hubs and I were flying to Ireland and had a connecting flight. Our first flight was so delayed that there was no hope in catching our next one, and customer service put us on a non-stop flight later in the day for no extra charge.
Their food isn't the best and if you are on shorter flights to the caribbean, their "adult" drinks are not complimentary so that's a drawback. Another drawback is having to pay for your first checked bag on regional flights. But to have nice flight attendants and safe flights says a lot. United, Delta, and Aer Lingus don't stand a chance next to AA.
