| - Max is an amazing trainer, the best I have had thus far! He listened to what my goals were and continues to adjust workouts so that I get the most out of them. We have yet to do the same workout twice and I have been training with him twice a week since October 2010. In that four month period, with Max's help I have:
-Lost over 30 pounds
-My body fat has dropped from over 15% to 7.9% (measured after the holiday season too!)
-Progressed from only 4 pull-ups before having to drop of the bar to now doing 16.
-It's hard to name everything because there is so much that the list goes on with improvement in my: run time, agility, reflexes and endurance.
I told Max that part of my goal was to become lean with an "athletic" look, not big and bulky. He continues to adjust workouts to make sure that this doesn't occur.
Most trainers put you on a machine and say do 20 reps then take you to a different one and say the same thing. Max hardly ever puts me on a machine unless it's truly the only way to accomplish the workout. I'd say over 90% of my workouts have been using kettlebells, dumbells, balance balls, bands, medicine balls and my own body weight. Everything he has me doing he is there, hands on and telling me what and how to fix myself to get the most out of the exercise. He is the first trainer who has ever pushed me to the point of wanting to die because I was getting so much out of the workout, luckily he is able to motivate you so well that you want to keep going.
The best part about having Max as your trainer is that he is not only your trainer during the hour you pay him. If I ever have a question about anything like diet, workouts or anything else I can text him and expect a response quickly. If he doesn't know the best answer he is honest and will tell you he needs to look into the question a little more. He is consistently sending out emails to his clients about ways to better improve their lives and workouts. When I travel he sets me up with workouts to do while I am gone so that we don't digress. If I have access to a gym he'll set it up for a gum workout but sometimes the only gym I have is my hotel room floor and he is still able to give me a workout that had me sweating and feeling I accomplished a lot when I'm done. If I go to the gym and feel really tight after a workout on my own he is willing to take the time to help stretch you out if he is available, because "I'm (He's) your trainer, that's my (his) job."
If your looking for a trainer and want someone who actually listens to you, cares about you and is able to figure out exactly how to motivate you and get you to your goals then Max is definitely your guy!
