Saint-Sacrament is a cool, rustic-looking bar in a sweet location just across from Station Mont-Royal. At first we were planning on going for the Bar et Bouffe event on this week but when we arrived and saw the regular menu, we decided to split a bunch of things off that menu instead.
Food:
- 1/2 Kilo BBQ Wings - Brought to our table in the big bowl they used to toss the wings and poured onto the parchment on the paper... what a fun presentation!
- Pulled pork sandwich - A little disappointing compared to everything else. I didn't find the sauce smoky or flavourful enough.
- Hummus and salsa with tortilla chips - Crispy and lightly spiced homemade tortilla chips. The hummus was really tasty. The salsa was chunky and went perfectly with the chips
- Parmesan fondue - We thought it would be a dip but it was actually two pieces of breaded and deep-fried parmesan fondue. Unexpected presentation but SUPER delicious and worth a try!
Service: Quite attentive and REALLY efficient.
Atmosphere: A little bit loud but to be expected for a bar/ bistro like this. The woody furniture and bartops are very, very nice.
