I cannot stress how terrible the service is here. My cat had a swollen paw, clearly an abscess of some sort, so we immediately took him in to be seen. Upon seeing him, they quoted us $580 to sedate, x-ray, and clean the wound. We have the wellness plan, which covered ZERO of this. Their recommendation for us was to put him on antibiotics and come back in two days to do a clip and clean once the swelling went down. We did as they said, and the swelling reduced significantly. Two days later, we took him back to get his abscess cleaned up. Due to our busy schedules we had to drop him off in the morning and waited to their phone call to see what was the treatment plan. That call never came. We called them at around 2:30 pm and they said they had called and spoken to us, which they HAD NOT. They also told us that all they did for the cat was a physical because we had declined all treatment. Please tell me why we would bring our cat in a snow storm to the vet if we were going to decline all treatments. So we call and speak to a manager the next day who assures us she will take care of the sedation if we pay for the clip and clean (Around $41). They give us an appointment for 3 days later. Keep in mind the poor cat has been in pain and not able to walk on his paw for about a week now. We take him in again this morning to be treated. They call at 2 pm and say they had done the physical but don't know how to proceed....WHATTTT! I spoke with them and explained the cat needs to have his abscess lanced and cleaned, they agreed. Now upon trying to pick up the cat they say we owe them $142 dollars. Not sure why there is a serious lack of communication between management and staff. They just say things to customers and don't follow through. Never again. Will be calling corporate and filing a serious complaint. They have wasted our time immensely and not provided the care necessary for a hurting animal. So disappointed. I have taken the cat to Banfield in Cincinnati for years and have NEVER had such a terrible experience.
