| - Always Check Yelp FIRST!!! This was one of theeee worst hotels I've ever stayed at. Ok, the room, when you first open the door, was impressive. After that, it was down hill all the way. They don't put refrigerators in the room, but can sell you a key to the refrigerated alcohol! If you want a refrigerator, that'll be $10.00 extra.
I swear someone cleaned shoe tar off of their shoes with the towels that were hanging in the bathroom. I mean, the towels looked like someone cleaned the bathroom with them and then hung them on the rack. THE RACK WAS EVEN DIRTY!!! Oh yeah, the tub was completely stopped up so when we showered the tub filled up with water. I explained all of this to the front desk and you'd think they'd maybe discount the room, but Hell to the NO! They just made oddball faces and said nothing much else. I actually think they were trying to tell me with their eyes that the hotel is really a dive.
There are NO adult pools so kids and families can show up and take over any of the four pools where you may be trying to just relax.
Also, the stairs to the room looked like they hadn't been swept in days! I mean, this wasn't just some 'wind blew some leaves and such', this was straight out the box ghetto dirt! Where junkies from the 60's may be located.
Please tell as many people as possible that this motel disguised as a hotel, is really a dive.
We wound up staying at The Hampton Inn in Scottsdale instead. The one by True Foods. They have really stepped up their game. Inexpensive and a really nice place. We always meet the nicest people their too.
The Scottsdale Plaza sucks!
