  • I have to be honest. I don't know what happened yesterday. I was so disappointed. This disappointment felt like when Mayweather vs Pacquiao happened, or when Batman Vs Superman fight was so short. All that build up to just flop. I get there parking sucks I know that. I waited, but not that long to my surprise. Place is busy I get that so not really much time for proper service buts thats okay too. Even the long wait for the receipt to print out, because I guess it overheated, was fine. I don't mind waiting because of the experience. In reality If I would of had a good experience I wouldn't have mind actually waiting. I'm a patient guy and I was here too, but reality is that deep down inside I wanted to just go. I order the Spicy Tonkatsu.I mixed things in, I ordered an egg for it and digged in. I ate, and I ate and I could just not get any flavor from the other ingredients. The only thing I tasted was the noodles and the very thick broth. As far as spiciness... there was none. Not one single sweat came down, not one single sniff of spiciness, just a whole lot of disappointment. The broth was too strong and took all the flavor from everything else. It was not warm enough. My friends bowl had more noodles than mine, he did not order extra. The noodles just felt present. Not really much of an impact there. The meat just dissolved and I didn't even feel anything because of the broth. If I at least had more noddles I would have just enjoyed slurping them more. My friend had some Gyoza and those were real good! But again thats something I did not order. I did not eat it fast, the bowl just ended quick. I still feel disappointed writing this now. Between the hype, the atmosphere and the awards hanging I was expecting more. My friend ordered the regular Tonkatsu and said it was great. We both agreed though that we have tasted better around Las Vegas. So I may come back, but not for a long time cause I don't want to feel disappointed again, or feel like a sucker. Price is fine for Ramen I don't mind that anywhere. To give you a sense of how it feels today... It's like when you break up with your lover only to go back and be treated like crap and being told, "I told you so". Just for me... when it comes to Ramen I want to feel happy to some extent. I am so glad my first Ramen bowl, I have ever had, was at Aki Matsuri back in 2014 where a restaurant from Japan came in just to sell Ramen for the festival. After that experience, I hold these places, especially this one with awards, with high regard. Sucks, I was really looking forward to this place. *sigh* :/
