  • There are, unfortunately. very few tropical fish stores left in the Valley. When I went looking for Phoenix Tropical Fish, I couldn't figure out why the address appeared to be in a residential area. It turns out that this "gem" of a business in tucked away behind a home. I had tropical fish growing up, and had numerous salt water tanks in years past, but had just decided to get back into having a fish tank recently. When I arrived there, I was incredibly impressed with the quantity and variety of tropical fish. The pricing was very reasonable. What made this a "5-star" experience was the service I got. They had great advice about how to get started, and advised me to come back with a water sample in 9-days. They also would only sell me three fish to get started so that the tank could become balanced (I was fully prepared to purchase many more). Today, all three are still thriving, and I will be taking my water sample in this afternoon with a hope that I can increase the community. These people are incredibly knowledgeable and are very willing to share their expertise. I will be a loyal customer, and love the fact that I can support a small privately-owned business.
