How am I reviewing another Starbucks? (Because it's a first review and I find meaningless trophies irresistible, clearly).
This place is fine for what it is. A good number of tables, though the bookstore crowd tends to take up a few so you can't always get a seat, friendly, competent staff with low turnover, which I take as a good sign.
Recently remodeled, the place looks sharp in rough hewn wood and (pretend) exposed brick but the seamless blend into chapters harshes the coffee house vibe.
Pro-tip: they're hidden when you're at the counter, but there are a couple of comfy chairs beside a fireplace around the corner to the right. Good place to curl up with your recent book purchases and a coffee, if they're free.
