  • Having moved back to Charlotte and into the Plaza neighborhood it was about time I gave this place another try. Midweek dinner with a friend the hostess was great with accommodating us quickly and the service was great. I wish I could say the same about the food. Don't get me wrong the food isn't terrible it just isn't great. You know I am expecting awesome food when I am paying $10 for 10 brussel sprouts. Unfortunately it just didn't live up to the hype. I would go back for the ambiance - let's be real it's an awesome date spot in terms of being comfy and cozy. However not only was the food lackluster, but the portions are definitely smaller and the price tag larger than the Soul Gastrolounge of yesteryear.
