| - Terrible experience once again......NEVER again. If you are thinking of consigning a car there, let me help you decide and save you tons of resources, time, money and grief. DON'T!
Several years ago I consigned my classic 1969 Shelby to one of their auctions. They pestered me for the car at their inaugural Southern CA auction and promised all sorts of benefits like premiere placement and marketing, auction time, etc. Long story short, none of that happened, car didn't sell. They offered to rerun it at another of their auctions, where it finally sold. I then saw the car sell at a competitor's auction shortly thereafter for 50% more.
Recently decided to thin out the collection and sent them eight cars in Scottsdale. Told them I would only send them if I had decent auction times. They made promises up one side and down the other to get the cars, so I shipped them. Again.... Total misrepresentations. Terrible auction times. Few sold and those that did sold for about half their value. It was a very expensive lesson, but I will never do business with them again, and will make sure everyone I speak to knows not to do business with them as well.
