  • Extremely disappointed with this place after our visit last Sunday for my grandmothers 75th birthday. There were 7 of us and we all ordered the Sterling dinner which is $49.99 per person. The Sterling, which is the more expensive choice, offers 21 meats including bacon wrapped filet, porterhouse, lamb, strip steak, etc. All the meat you can want plus unlimited sides and salad bar, sounds good right? WRONG! I'll start off with the salad bar. It was very tiny compared to its competitors. There was a small section of lettuce and toppers to make your own salad, some specialty cold cuts and cheeses, a few hot items and some cold salads. Blah. Nothing stood out, but obviously the salad bar is just a filler. Skip this if at all possible. The sides. They have a good selection, but again nothing really stood out and these are also fillers. We got the steak fries, which are not the thick fries they are actually skinny so I don't know why they call them steak fries, fried banana, mashed potatoes, yucca fries and sautéed mushrooms. All served with your meal, and unlimited. The "rodzio" style dinner left something to be desired. As I said we all got the Sterling dinner. Of the 21 meats on the menu, we may have tried 15 and that's because they did not offer the others. We were offered shrimp, garlic bread, and flank steak a ton of times, yet the expensive meats such as the filet were offered sparingly. When they finally brought the filet to the table everyone opted for some. It was wrapped in bacon which was hardly cooked, so it made the filet chewy and overly salty. Most took the bacon off. When they came around again we asked if they could make the filet without bacon, and they said sure and it would be 10 minutes. No problem. I am not joking when I say we did not get the filet for a good 40 minutes even after we talked to a manager who said she would get it out to us asap. She did mention that the filet had been offered to our table 3 times, which is interesting that they keep track of that. I guess to throw it back in your face when you complain? I'm sorry.. Is $50 a person not enough to warrant more than 3 trips to our table with the prime meats? Disgusting. Side note the place was not busy at all, we went Sunday night at 5:30 and there were maybe 8-10 tables so I am not sure what the deal was. Most of the meats we did get were good. I enjoyed the top sirloin and the filet without bacon. I can't look past the bad service and the fact we weren't offered all the meats that we paid for. Looking at their menu now, I never saw the lamb shank, pork ribs, tangy chicken, salmon, or Brazilian pork. They sat us at a big round table at the back of the restaurant in the corner, I kinda feel like we were just shoved off to the side and ignored. Oh and another thing is be prepared to eat in the dark. They have the lights down so low, you can't even tell which meat is which and what your eating. Super annoying. I get wanting to have ambiance, but they go a little too far. And finally the icing on the cake is that we told them it was grandma's birthday and wanted to get her a piece of cheesecake, her favorite dessert, and they brought caramel flan. What the hell! She doesn't even like flan. It's like they didn't care to accommodate any of our requests at all. We were paying for the dessert, although it should have been comped after spending $350, but they still couldn't get it right. Extremely, extremely disappointing. After expressing our concerns to the manager she did take $10 off everyone's dinner, which is the only why I gave them a star. But that won't save them. Texas DE Brazil from here on out. I'll never step foot in this place again.
