So I'm the first to review! I'd prefer to hand it three and a half stars but will err on the higher side. I've stayed here twice since it opened just a few weeks ago. For a new operation, it's running very smoothly. ALL of the staff is super friendly and eager to please.
I got somewhat of an institutional vibe from the interior and decor and later learned that the hotel was a re-gutted former Department of Education building. They did a nice job with all of the typical accoutrements needed for the business traveler.
Their free morning breakfast isn't bad at all with a full range of options. Not what you might find at some of the lower end motels that feature those. Very unique is the nightly "kick back" happy hour from 5:30 to 7:00 where they provide the first drink for free and there are various snacks and appetizers around for the taking.
Free Internet access is great although, like real estate, it's all about location, location, location. I've gotten speeds over 100 Mbps (a first for me with a hotel wifi) but have also experienced sluggish speeds around 2 Mbps depending on where I was sitting at the time.
Two very minor points: Like some other hotels, they seem to forget that some of their guests drink tea, so you have to request it at the desk. They get it to you quickly. Both the desk top and the bedside stand sport three outlets at table top height. Unfortunately, they're unplugged so you have to decide how you want to power them, perhaps unplugging the phone or alarm clock. Someone got half a design right there.
I'd definitely stay here again. Their prices at the moment a little below those of the comparable hotels in the area. Don't know how long that will last but they're worth a stay.
