  • Next Optical on Speers Rd in Oakville is a stand alone building with free parking on the south side of the street. This famous little optical shop has been around for years and has evolved the largest selection of designer frames I've ever seen in one store. There are hundreds of makes and models of men's and women's eyeglasses here; the collection fills twenty or more wooden racks downstairs and there's an entire showroom devoted to designer sunglasses above. I went there for a one-hour eye exam and spent a few hundred dollars after getting a deep discount from Bo the owner on designer reading glasses and sunglasses - the more I spent the more I saved. Bo is great to negotiate with, and he made me feel like I got a super deal. Special shout out to the eye doctor on staff here - you were great too, and very patient with me. You didn't make me feel like I was going blind faster than I know I am, which is what I've experienced at other stores. i will return to get more glasses as my health plan allows. Word to readers - ask for an espresso coffee while you shop - its delicious.
