  • Dr Nwapa takes very little time with you and ultimately just pushes meds. I finally accepted meds for my ADHD son because I found no other help and, while they helped, I wish Dr. Nwapa had given me other options. Since my son is doing better I'd give 2 stars. The 2 starts are negated by my experience with my other son and the negative 20 stars I'd give if I could. My other son has seen him while being in day program at the pysch hospital. After 3 weeks they discharged him and Nwapa actually said, "I have no clue how to help him. He'll act better when his life is miserable enough." Um, ok... Nwapa's office is impossible to contact. Even during regular business hours you can't get ahold of anybody. Their phone is usually forwarded to the answering service who is equally frustrated because it's during business hours! And when it's not forwarded, you can't reach anyone and have to leave a voicemail. I've left the drs office a total of 8 messages between answering service and vm and haven't gotten anywhere. I did get ahold of a real live human twice and they said they'd forward message to dr that he needs the refill called in. Never happened. No call back. No nothing. My son just needs a dang refill and has been without for over a month! I did get to make an appointment and am here waiting in the disgusting waiting room because I could never get through to get the refill my son needed. Really I'm only here to raise hell about the frustrations. Not sure if the dr is the problem or his staff in regards to these problems. Waiting to get in with sons primary care to get referral elsewhere. My dr will be accommodating seeing as how when he referred us he said, "he's a good dr but I've never had someone like him so let's see how this goes." But he's the one our old insurance required us to go to and we had no other options. Yay for new insurance so we can switch. Now to that disgusting waiting room. Overcrowded, long waits (here at least 2 hours every appointment), and filthy. I feel like we're gonna walk out of here with a disease it's so nasty. Walls tore up, tiles broken and missing, and just general filth.
