| - Oh, F&E.
You're like a super hot guy........
with no personality..........
unemployed.......
lives at home.....
and plays xbox all day.....
They have remodeled, and are now open 24 hours a day.
The remodel has included check out stands where employees actually check you out, and now has a deli/seating area where you can get sandwiches, pizzas, salads, soups, and drinks.
One of the first things I saw tonight was a pack of strawberries, and right on top, was one that was molded. Okay, okay, I know that this happens...but, it wasn't forced in the back, it was in the front... in clear view. This has always been one of my problems here...moldy food or bugs.
Soymilk here is almost $4.
While Organic (yes, ORGANIC) soymilk (store brand) at walmart is $2.50.
A single bottle of apple juice was on sale for $4.99,
I saw the same bottle at walmart for under $3.
I'm not trying to sound like a cheap ass or anything...but it is really expensive to shop here. Three boxes of cereal, two cartons of milk, some cheddar cheese, a gallon of milk, flour, butter , cream cheese, and some corn on the cob was about $45.
Another thing that kind of annoys me, is they don't carry all the items that they used to. When I make spring rolls, I use a plum sauce. I used to only be able to find this specific brand of plum sauce at F&E. Now, it's not there.
Check out, still kind of a night mare.
They only had one employee checking out customers, so, self check out it is.
Of course, the self checkout stalls.
And it's not just with us, it happened to the poor guy next to us.
Waiting for an employee to come around and help is such a waste of time.
It's not like a smith's, or a walmart that has an employee near by just in case something were to happen at self check out.
Also, it's not a one stop shop...
Why I have all of those walmart price comparisons was because I had to go to walmart after F&E to finish my shopping....for basic groceries !
