I was pretty excited to try this place out since it's been hyped up so much. I did enjoy looking at the cute and well decorated donuts, along with the clever names that some of them had.
However, that's about all I enjoyed. You can choose to pay a lower price for a half dozen or dozen donuts if you let them pick for you. This tells me automatically that I would be given cheaper donuts or the ones they have too many of or are less popular. Of course I want to pick me own, but I shouldn't be charged extra for this. The prices are already pretty high. I paid 11 dollars for 6 donuts.
My first choice was a maple bar, since that's my boyfriend's favorite kind of donut and I was getting these for him. However, the employee informed me that maple bars are not an option as part of a half or whole dozen because they don't fit in the box. If I'm paying that much for donuts, I should be able to get whatever ones I want. If it doesn't fit in the box, put 5 in there and give me the other in a bag. The 6 I got were pretty squished in the box anyways.
I was unimpressed with this place. I can get better donuts from the grocery store and pick the ones I want without paying extra.
