| - I was looking for a cheap place next to the prometric testing center and this is what I got. I debated this place over the newer looking motel 6 up the street with the pool, but this place had free wifi, bit cheaper and neither place had good reviews.
I was told it isnt the best side of town. I know people come from all walks of life, but there were some not-well to do people here, some ... I hate to say scary, but Im not sure what else to say. The front desk people were nice but it kinda smelled like poop. To the left of the desk is a loooooooong dark dingy hallway to all the rooms. It was seriously creepy. I walked into my room and was overtaken with the smell of marijuana. They asked if I wanted it sprayed or to change rooms.... I changed roomz but at this point I was tired, creeped out and honestly REALLY wanted to get my money back and leave. But I stayed.... the next room I could at least breath.
Everything is old, warn, and stained. Im not sure if the heater worked. Bed sheets were stained, carpet stained, window blinds broke. A box tv haha but it worked! Soap and towels were available. You can hear EVERYTHING. People walking by outside the door and your window. The leaky tap in my bathroom. The tv next door. I thought I really might need to leave. I would have been much more comfortable elsewhere.
Suprisingly it quieted down. I was warm enough. I slept ok. I did stay my second night too. I get that this is what you can expect from being cheap. But other hotels were only 10-20$ more a night and likely in much better condition. Room condition is very poor. Hallways often smells like smoke and marijuana. The people you will meet, no judgment but just FYI are disheveled. If I had a young daughter I wouldnt like her staying there alone. Ill say that.
I would not stay here again. Or recommend it.
