| - Doctor is great, facility and staff are very poor. The office staff, especially the girls who work the front desk, are terrible and unwelcoming. They never smile, act irritated and definitely do not convey a liking of their job. The primary assistant nurse who checks you in has also been very cold and unwelcoming in the same manner during my past 4 visits as well. The office definitely sends a vibe that is not inviting to children or parents. The walls are white and plain and is just not a child - friendly atmosphere. St.Jacque is excellent. He has seen my 9 year old daughter since she was 3, but at his former ahwatukee location. Based on positive past experiences, I decided to use him at Active Kids with my new baby. I had my baby's 9 month check up scheduled three months in advance and the office staff provided me with an appointment reminder card that she wrote 4:50 on, 3 months later (2 days ago), I showed up at 4:45 for the appointment. When I walked in, one of the office girls was cleaning chairs and looked surprised that I walked in, asked me in a very rude manner how she could help me, then rudely told me they were closing and that my appointment was at 4:10, not 4:50 (which she wrote on my appointment card 3 months earlier) and rudely told me they had me down as a "no show." I politely asked to reschedule and she acted irritated again and told me all the computers had already been shut down. I understand a mistake could have easily been made on the appointment card, but she could have been a lot more professional in the way she spoke to me. I was so uncomfortable at this point and irritated with the overall poor service from the office staff that I had received in the past 9 months with my new daughter, that I decided to drop them as my pediatrician. This is an unfortunate situation since that doctors that work here are good. However, the office staff are so bad that I refuse to take my children back. Overall, besides the actual doctor, the entire facility is not inviting and not very child friendly.
