  • I cannot believe I am sitting here writing a review on Yelp, but that is how horrific my experience has been in the 3 weeks I have been a patient at this office I will start off by saying I am a registered nurse, i am 100% knowledgeable and understanding about the whole healthcare process and I also like to think i very patient and respectful to those who I come in contact with, but this office literally made me lose my cool The quality of care here not only is a disgrace to patients rights, but is quite frankly just an embarrassment to Dr. Belitzky's reputation as an endocrinologist as a whole. Positives, if any Dr. Belitzky definitely knows her stuff, she is very straight and to the point with trying to solve the problem, I liked that about her. She took the time to get a full history on my problem (hairloss and PCOS symptoms) and come up with a plan to diagnose and treat me. I will also say when my problem escalated to the point that I was having a "sit in" at the office until I had answers, i ended up seeing her in the parking lot when she arrived to work and I did get to finally talk to her and she was very nice, and VERY understanding of why i was so upset and in tears about this whole situation and the issues that I had with her staff and the way I was being treated The office itself is beautiful, very clean, decorated, and another positive is that they have the phlebotomist on site so you can have labs drawn at the same office. NEGATIVE Phones- You never can get a live person on the phone, You are directed to multiple mailboxes and you are lucky if you will receive call back or get anyone on the phone. Im not sure how you would even call to reschedule or cancel an appointment within the 24 hour time period because literally nobody ever answers. Both front desk people were very rude, no personality, and no compassion One person sitting at the front desk didn't even acknowledge my presence when I tried to hand in my new patient packet. But rather was sitting there icing her shoulder unbothered by me standing there awkwardly waiting for instructions on what to do next. The "Medical Assitstant" Michelle First two visits I thought wow she is the only nice and sweet one in this front office staff, boy was I wrong. I will save you all the details of the story but to make it short, After a week of calling everyday for lab results and treatment plans I received a rude phone call back form the medical assistant without so much as an apology for the lack of coordination of care regarding my results and prescription I simply asked to speak with Dr. Belitzky because I researched the medication she prescribed and found that in some woman it can further worsen hair loss. I was told by the medical assistant "I've never heard that. that is not true." I then stated I wanted to speak with the doctor since she was the one treating me. I asked for Dr. Belitzky to please call me back before I started taking a medication I was not fully educated on, Michelle told me that "Dr. Belitzky does not take phone calls, and does not call her patients back. If i would like to talk to her then I need to come back into the office and schedule an appointment" at this point I was irate by the level of attitude I was receiving for simply wanting to be educated on a medication that I was supposed to be putting into my body. I told her that I would come in but refused to pay another copay for something I have been in there for two times in the past week. she responded that If I didn't want to do that then I would not be speaking to the doctor, then told me that If i didn't stop arguing with her she would hang up on me by this point i was livid about the lack of compassion and respect I was receiving. I simply wanted a 3 minute talk with the doctor to reassure me my condition with my hair was not going to be made worse. At the end of the conversation i was hung up on. to wrap this story up I was then -Lied to about the license of the person I talked to when I was given the name michelle, then told she was a registered nurse when she was not. so she was out of her scope to begin with -my husband was lied to by the office manager when she said I talked to her on the phone not michelle, when i was clearly given the name michelle when I asked who i was speaking with - refused the common courtesy and patient right by the office staff of being educated on a medication that I was prescribed -hung up on 3 times when calling to trying to schedule an appt the conclusion of the story is that I ended up speaking with Dr Belitzky in the parking lot on my way out of the office when I saw her pull up. She was very nice, understanding and apologetic for the issues I had. and the whole conversation only took less then 5 minutes. Dr. Belitzky could be great, but honestly she needs to look for better support persons to run her office. Save yourself and PLEASE go find a different endocrinologist.
