| - Came here to have our baby checked yesterday. The other night, she started bleeding (on heat) after years of not having it. She wasn't acting differently. And her poop looks fine (I even had the doctor check the picture.) But I was worried that she might have a serious infection so I took her to the vet the next day.
I came in less than an hour before closing, but they never made me feel rushed! The staff were nice and helpful. The front desk lady was very friendly and personable! Dr. Kyle Thornton gave Sunshine, our shih tzu, an exam. He was nice, friendly, and knowledgable! He says she must've been going through heat all those years and that maybe it's just not obvious. He recommended that Sunshine gets 2 x-rays and a blood work to make sure she is fine and to detect any early signs of illness.
$390 later (goodness, now I think I'M feeling sick). Dr. Thornton came back with Sunshine's x-rays and displayed it on the screen (yes, very impressive and high tech.) He explained that Sunshine is perfectly healthy-- no stones or deadly infections. I was relieved. Although, we still need to wait for the blood work results to come back to see if there's anything we need to worry about.
He also gave us antibiotics in case Sunshine has UTI. And gave us a quote for a spay for our next visit.
Overall, great experience! I love the staff. I love the clinic! Friendly environment!!
Thank you, West Russell Animal Hospital!! :D
