During the first weekend of June I walked into Hecks around 1pm on a Sunday afternoon only to have an employee just stare at me without a greeting whatsoever. I proceeded to request a table for 2 and walked toward the first employee I saw, a woman. She then asked me "where are you going?" And continued to give me a blank stare just like the one when I first walked in. I asked the woman, "are you closed?" She responded saying "we don't even have a table for two open". One of the male employees was behind me and proceeded to tell me "you could order food but it would take longer than usual to bring out". I responded to them both saying I would think about but there really was nothing to think about because that is absolutely not how you treat a customer. If a restaurant is not accepting tables the best practice would be to start a waitlist and take a name. If there is a private event going on then inform your walk-ins respectfully. Practicing good customer service is not rocket science.
