I come here once a week often with a group of friends. It's our favorite place to try local and regional craft beer without having to go too far away from home (even though this is 30 minutes away from home). It's very cute with the wooden framing and modern cabin feel.
When I try to tell people how much I love it they go, "How can a grocery store bar be your favorite one out of all the places in Scottsdale/Phoenix?!" The answer is simple: because of the employees. Colleen, Barry, Jason, and Jon are the most helpful and wonderful people I've ever been served by. Jon is so knowledgeable and truly knows what good craft beer is, with variety. He is an asset to the great tap rotation list and knows exactly what to recommend and sample. Colleen is the sweetest woman I've ever met, she always knows how to get me to order something off of the menu with her great zest for life and food. Barry is always so polite and happy as is Jason. Barry knows how to crack a good joke as well, which I can appreciate.
I've been so many times that the regulars make it feel almost like a little family. It's hard to do that in Phoenix and even harder in a grocery store bar, but the staff truly built that neighborhood bar feel and I can't thank them enough for having a great place to go after work in Phoenix.
I highly recommend this at least for a stop while you're grocery shopping next week. They have a lot of vegan/vegetarian and meats on the menu to please all crowds. It's unique and the specials are fantastic!
