Only good thing about this home depot is that its great when they have what you are looking for and you know where in the store its located. Customer service is almost non existent and you're lucky if you get approached by an employee looking to help you. Most of them walk around and hope they don't get stopped.
On this specific night (8/11/2016) it was pretty obvious a storm was about to hit central Phoenix and I was looking for sandbags to purchase for my home. I called this location and a female, Elizabeth, answered the phone. She told me that they had only the large sandbags that are outside for $20 something and then put me on hold to check for any other sizes. After a couple minutes she came back and told me that they also had sand filled tubes for $3 something. Once I arrived and looked around and tracked down an employee for the location of the item I was seeking he told me that they have been out for a while and that the Elizabeth on the phone had given me bad information but that he would check the back but later told me they were completely out of the sand tubes, then he quickly walked away (He could of suggested I buy materials to make my own bags, making the store more money than if I would of bought the sand tubes that I originally went for). After he left a young woman was looking for the same thing I was and I told her that they lied on the phone and they don't have any but that she could purchase empty bags and packs of sand to make some. I then loaded the five 60 pound bags of sand on my and her cart. There was no way a woman her size could of safely reached and carried the heavy items off from the second shelf and of course there were no employees around, except for this one brief moment a young male employee with a black hat walked by but didn't offer any help.
Then once we made it to the register the lady looked at the empty bags and asked me where we got them because they had no bar codes, I told her they were 55cents but she asked if I could go and get her the code so she could ring them up. At this point I was already pissed off on how unprofessional everyone at this store had been so I went over where I had gotten the white polypropylene bags which were in large green thrash can with a big sign that said "55ยข" on it (which were probably no more than 60 feet from her register because we were at the last register by the Building Material isle) and carried it all the way to the register and put it down right in front of her and she laughed.
I hope their employees get good pay because judging by the attitude most of the employees have here they must have a really hard job. (that's called sarcasm for any of the home depot employees reading this).
I would suggest going to another Home Depot location or a Lowes when looking for assistance in home improvement goods. If Elizabeth on the phone would of been accurate with me I could of saved time and some water damage to my house before the storm hit, thanks Home Depot!
