On the search for a exercise program that an outta shape person could do, I came across Dahn Yoga. I signed up for their 1 hour introductory session online for $15 and am very happy I did.
The Dahn Yoga Center was welcoming from the moment I walked in. I was greeted by Master Jeung (not sure if I spelled that correctly), a friendly and spiritual being. He spent the next hour with me explaining the principles of the art and the physical benefits of improved flexibility, balance, and endurance and how the meditation portion provides a mental respite as well. He accessed my physical state, pointing out all the weak points quite accurately. He taught me how to breath deeply and showed me some of the exercises where I was pleasantly surprised that I could do them. I've been going for 2 weeks now, and with the help of the staff, their encouragement and kindness, I feel really great and as if I can incorporate the routine into my life! And the classes are fun, too!
