The doctor was nice but brief during my physical visit. My biggest problem was the bill. I am on a high deductible plan and get one "free" physical per year. Although I called and specifically asked for this service I was billed for an "outpatient visit" which is conveniently more expensive and not covered by my insurance.
I also find it strange that in today's day in age, when I asked them to send me an email to verify the appointment and address they responded by telling me they do not email their patients. I again asked if they could email me information about the appointment and they again declined and transferred me to another person who in a huff said she would use her personal account. I never received said email. They did have no problem sending me marketing emails when I posted a comment on their website portal (treatspace).
When I called them up to ask why they are billing me in this manner I was told that "the physical only covers vitals." So apparently, if the doctor asks you a direct question about your well being and you answer, that is not part of the physical and is to be billed separately at over a hundred dollars.
It was an education experience, I learned that a physical a Genesis Medical does not cover actually speaking with your doctor. Genesis Medical is the epitome of what is wrong with healthcare in this country.
