How many appetizers can fit on one table? We aimed to find out. Between the three of us we ordered:
Grand Calamari
Potato Spring Rolls
Pastrami Reuben Eggrolls
Short Rib Tacos
Buffalo Chicken Rolls
We tried ordering the Duck Triangles, but they were out. Too bad. They sounded really good.
I probably won't order the Grand Calamari again. It wasn't bad, but there is so much more that is scrumptious to say the least. This is Cheesecake Factory's cousin and there are some cross over entrees, but most of the food is different, but somehow familiar if you are a Cheesecake Factory devotee.
My favorite by far were the short rib tacos. Very flavorful and I love the tortilla which seemed to be homemade. They weren't thin little floppy things. Second place were the Pastrami Reuben Rolls. So good!!! I love that they used pastrami rather than corned beef. Pastrami has a deeper flavor that was needed. The Buffalo Chicken Rolls are better here than at Cheesecake -- less breading/shell and more chicken filling.
As if we didn't punish ourselves enough, we ordered two entrees. The ginger beef is tender and tasty. It's even better as a leftover. Normally there wouldn't be leftovers, but seriously. There is no way we could have eaten it all. The other entree was the Cafe Beef Wellington. I liked the dish, but since it isn't the traditional beef Wellington, why not experiment with different, more flavorful cuts of meat?
And for dessert ... we are such pigs ... we couldn't make up our minds so we got the butter cake and the apple pie/tart. Get them both, even if it kills you.
