| - The physical facilities get 5 stars. Our room was beautiful & clean. We enjoyed & utilized the pool, hot tub, fitness center, and business lounge.
We also really liked the location, it was nice to be right by the Silverton Casino, & In N Out burger!
With that being said, this place has some quirks & questionable hospitality that it needs to work out.
The staff was not particularly helpful. We were not given any information about the facilities at check in or in our room. We needed ice, and there was none in the freezer so we asked an employee if they had an ice machine. She told us the hotel doesn't have one... except they do. We stumbled upon it later as we visited the pool.
The front desk staff doesn't accommodate late check out. Which is understandable, but there was no offer to hold our luggage, or give us any any option other than book our room for another night at a premium price.
We also had to go to the lobby to request knives for our unit. (No knives, even butter knives...) Most of the outlets in our unit didn't work. And the elevators took forever. The hotel seemed pretty empty, but we had a wait for an elevator every time.
Lastly, the hotel has a weird policy where they lock the main doors at night. It's completely locked up with no keycard entry for guests. You have to walk the whole way around the building to get in. This would have been nice to know at check in. Not so fun to learn after a night out on the town!
Overall, I was happy with my stay because we got a good price for the room. I would stay here again because of the nice rooms & facilities.
