Went on a Friday, about 6pm. I was meeting a friend whom I hadn't seen for many many years and looking forward to chatting it up. I got there first, and since it was threatening rain, I went inside to save a table in the 'front room'. Oh wow! Talk about Loud! I didn't think people could be so loud having convos. When my friend arrived, the server got us a table by the bar, where it was much better.
food - we just had nachos and 'famous' chicken fingers - trust me there is no reason why these should be famous; even though 'their fresh made to order'. There is nothing 'awesome' about them (as our server described). Nachos were, meh... cheese and tinny tasting tomato sauce with a lot of jalepenos. Fresh salsa would have been a lot better.
I do think this would be a great place to socialize with a group of friends for drinks. Good selection of beer, limited cocktail menu.
I think this place likely is just known for a good hang out down town to have drinks. Even though I didn't have a main (course), I would be apprehensive doing so if the appies were just passable.
