  • On 02/10/16 I had two garage door openers installed in my house by this business. I was not available to be there during the installation but had a family member there instead. Upon returning home I inspected the work that was done, one of the electric wiring plastic covers was broken and had been re-installed broken. There was also a long crack in the drywall in my roof above the track. I sent photos to the owner who responded that night with his son who did the installation, over the phone I already started hearing the excuses that the quality of work from most home builders is responsible for drywall cracks and they may or may not be able to fix it. The son admitted that he had seen the broken electrical cover and apologized, saying he had seen that it was cracked when he removed it but he had not taken the extra step to replace it and that the builder must have cracked it when they installed it. Both denied any responsibility for the crack in the drywall as it was above the track which they had not installed and was from when the house was built. I opened the door manually the previous weekend and the crack was not in the roof before the installation was done at my house however they refused to fix it saying that it had to be from when the builder of the home installed the track. In my opinion the installation done by this business was careless and any damage done is blamed on someone else, with only responsibility being taken for items that there is overwhelming evidence that they caused and/or ignored. If the consumer does not inspect the work carefully the business will leave things broken to be found later. I now have a large crack in my drywall that was not there before this business did work in my garage that I will have to have repaired by someone else. I did not shop around and took a recommendation to use this business and strongly regret my decision. I even suggested that they spend a few minutes before starting a 3 hour job to look at the existing garage door system and identify these items to a homeowner, they wouldn't have to fix them but pointing them out would prevent misunderstandings. Both the owner and his son laughed at me saying they have never inspected roofs previously and were not going to start now. 1-2 minutes to look around to me would be a smart investment. The owner also mis-texted me something he meant for someone else about giving them an Adderall and $100 cash while on my way to the house to inspect the issues I reported. I cannot say the misuse of prescription drugs had anything to do with the damage that was done in my garage but if that was meant to be sent to an employee as an incentive to work late/more hours I am deeply concerned as overworked employees using medication to keep alert while installing machinery in my opinion is dangerous and I would not let them back on my property. I would stay away from this business and find another. 02-11-2016 Adding additional comments after Ray's comments below. I did not insist he fix something that his company did not cause, the damage was not there before they did work in my garage and it was afterwords, I let him know that I was unsatisfied and would post my experience online which I did. The fact of the matter is the installation was done in my garage and was not monitored (unless you have 3 hours to watch the installation I wouldn't recommend them), damage was done to my roof, how or why I do not have an explanation only his son who did the install knows how it happened and the company refused to repair the damage I would only be guessing as to if he fell or was just careless when in my garage. They even would have gotten away with the damaged electrical cover had I not spotted it and Ray even said his son should have run the wires outside of the damaged cover rather than through it because since he ran the wiring through the cover that proved they knew about it. Regarding the comment about the medication, I posted my opinion and even after Ray blew up my phone with text messages about the story of his daughter with ADHD I am not buying his story. The wording of the message says "Give you an Adderall" not 'take an Adderall' which is how I would phrase it if his story is true, and I can't blame auto correct and it makes me believe he has tired employees working in people's homes taking medication to stay up which is dangerous and I think people should know about it. I was annoyed yesterday when the damage was done. I am annoyed again today because of the constant text messages due to my review. I am having the drywall fixed this weekend and hopefully I will never hear from this company again. Any other consumer has the right to make their own decision and I believe the way a company acts when there is a problem truly shows their character not how they act when everything is done well and my recommendation is that there are plenty of other companies out there.
