| - I was spoiled with amazing curry when I went to Japan over the summer. After a few friends and I agreed to try this restaurant out, I was really excited!
I got there a little early compared to the rest of my group, however, because the restaurant itself is pretty small, the whole group needs to be present in order to get seated...so make sure to scold the friends that are always late to be on time! Lol The interior smelled amazing and the decor was simple, reminiscent of the restaurants I visited in Japan.
I ordered the vegetable curry, spice level 7, and added chicken katsu. As a big fan of spice, I'll vouch that you'll get the level you asked for! It has always annoyed me when you're expecting a certain spice level and it's either either too spicy or not spicy enough. If you want to stay on the cautious side and order low, you can always add some extra chili flakes they have on the table. The curry itself was delicious and very flavorful. The veggies were cooked tender enough to cut with just your spoon. Although the chicken katsu was small, it was yummy and all white meat! I also ordered the takoyaki and I was happily surprised. The outside was crispy and the inside still tender but not undercooked, with large pieces of octopus.
The waitress came by frequently to refill our waters and was nice enough to ask if we needed our checks split. I was very happy with my experience at this place and I will definitely be bringing my boyfriend here to check it out.
